Privacy and security threats posed by DATA collection


      The rapid development and deep integration of smart devices and internet in the society's daily life are proof of the great benefits they provide in terms of making work and life easier.            The Internet of things with All the benefits it offers, it also poses a serious privacy and security threat to society. With the advancement of technology and digital tools, companies are able to collect a lot of information that can be misused or exposed to hackers. From blackmail to theft using digital devices, data breaches have affected individuals and companies alike. If a hacker can gain access to one of your devices oftentimes, they can access all of your devices (Rose Barker,2018).
           Strong cyber security infrastructure and strict regulatory framework should be in place to prevent risks around the handling of data collected and held by digital companies.
